Still Rockin’ After All This Time

We got Keaton’s “year at a glance” sheet today. It tells us how Keaton’s been doing so far this year. And Keaton never disappoints us. I’ll just run through his scores.

Math Scores: Unit 1-100%
CLIMB level: C
BRI (Reading scores): Instructional level for Fall-6th grade
Grade level fluency (Fall level should be 100-120): Fall-132
Vocab Tests: 1-100%, 2-100%, 3-100
Spelling percentages: 92, 96, 92, 92, 84, 100
Social Studies tests: Map/Earth test-100%, Capitals-82%

Recommendations [from Keaton's teacher]:

Keaton has solid scores in all subject areas. He has great insights on many topics but needs to remember to raise his hand when he wants to contribute. Having Keaton read aloud at times will help his use of expression. Also having him retell you portions of books he’s reading will help him to start using more details. If there was one area to select I would say that Keaton could take more time on his writing. Making sure that sentences are complete and necessary capitalization and punctuation is used will be a must for middle school. Taking time now will set the stage for next year.

Keaton’s dedication to school is amazing. I love getting these reports to remind us what a smart cookie we have. I’m so proud of all of his hard work.
