Arrest That Bitch

Ok, I certainly understand the importance of not bending rules in school. And I also understand the importance of a rule regarding cell phone usage in schools. However, this is ridiculous.

I wasn’t there so I don’t know all of the details, but this kid was talking to his mother who has been in Iraq. His mother who could die in Iraq. His mother who is serving our country in a war we have no business being in…oh wait….I’ve gotten off on a tangent.

So anyway, his mom called him from Iraq during his lunch break. Cell phones are not permitted on campus during school hours. A teacher asked him to get off of his cell phone. According to the student he said “This is my mom in Iraq. I’m not about to hang up on my mom.” And yet he was suspended for 10 days [yes TEN days] for being defiant and disorderly. Because, according to the principal, the teen used profanity when taken to the office. Well you know what? If some bitch told me to get off the phone while I was talking to my mother who was risking her life for our freedom, my mother who I assume I don’t get to speak to very often now that she’s a little busy fighting in a war for all of our asses, a mother who certainly doesn’t need the added stress of knowing my ass is being dragged to the principal’s office for talking to her, then I sure as fuck would be using profanity too. And the principal could kiss my ass.

I think an exception could have been made here. And if you truly were upset that profanity was used and want to make an example that profanity will not be tolerated then a one day suspension would have sufficed. But talking about having a kids arrested or suspending them for 10 days is a bit excessive. Have a heart asshole.
