Thursday Thirteen #1: Favorite TV Shows
|
1. Big Brother: We get to vote on which “all-star” houseguests we want in the house this season beginning June 21st. Don’t miss it. I know I won’t. It’s already in my calendar. 2. Grey’s Anatomy: I love me some Dr. McDreamy. And Dr. McVet ain’t bad either. I’m glad I’m not Meredith having to make that decision. 3. Desperate Housewives: Lynette is my hero. It’s like watching myself on TV. I so feel her pain. 4. American Idol: Although I was pretty disappointed in this years season. But I was happy to see Taylor win. I would have liked to of seen Taylor, Elliot and Chris in the top three though. Katherine is a good singer, but she didn’t deserve to beat out Chris and Elliot. I’m just saying. 5. Lost: Oh Lost, you always leave me wanting more. What will happen to Jack and Kate and Sawyer? Will Micheal and Walt really make it off the island and to safety? Are Locke and Echo still alive? So many questions. SO much time until September. 6. The Apprentice: Will it be Sean or Lee? I hope it’s Sean. I think that Lee is too much of a politician and not very loyal. But Trump seems to like Lee. This season lost some of it’s luster. There was way too much catty backstabbing. And everybody basically chose a person and ganged up on them in the boardroom. It was a bit like being back in the sixth grade. But I still watch. 7. Amazing Race: I LOVE the hippies. They are so goofy. And sometimes obnoxious. But in a loveable hippie obnoxious kind of way. LOVE them. I am so glad they won. 8. Survivor: I’ve never been a huge Survivor fan, but now I’m hooked. Cerie is my hero. My real-life hero. Not my ficitional character hero like Lynette. And I know people are disappointed that Terry didn’t win because he outplayed them all. But he didn’t outwit them. And he certainly didn’t outlast them. I’m happy for Arse. Now he can move out of his dad’s house and be a real man. 9. House: The finale threw me for a loop. I sat through half of it with my hand over my eyes. Especially when the guys eyeball popped out. EWWW! And the other half of the time I sat there with a blank expression thinking “What the hell is going on?” But I got it. He was realizing that sometimes his jerky ways can come back to bite him in the ass…or shoot him in the neck. 10. Dr. Phil: Yes, I am a Dr. Phil junkie. Love him. Live him. It’s like he can read my mind. We are so on the same page about many of these topics. Although I do delete the weight loss episodes. They bore me and often they are just an opportunity for him to plug his book. But other then that, he’s the man. 11. Law & Order…All of them: Lee and I don’t just watch the new ones on NBC. We watch them religiously on A&E and TNT. We can’t get enough Law & Order. How can you not love a show that has all of our old friends from Oz on ‘em. Loved Oz too. 12. Real World: I’m a sucker for young adults immaturely screaming at each other when they get drunk and don’t realize how stupid they are being. And don’t you just love that these people flirt and have sex on national television…when they know they parents will probably see this. They are such rebels. If one of my kids ever tells me they are going on Real World I’ll probably have a heart attack. 13: Any of the Real World/Road Rules Challenges: Fresh Meat is starting up now. And it’s all set up on my Season Pass on Tivo. Yes, I am a 16 year old girl in a 31 year old woman’s body. I love the drama. I can’t help it. |

Welcome to TT! Great first list! Glad I’m not alone on Real World. Although, it does make me feel old these days!
Sounds like you like a lot of the shows my friends are or were on.
You need to go back through some of my blog lol.
Ok, I will be copying some of Christine’s list so let’s start with one she didn’t have.
1). Prison Break. Wentworth Miller definitely has a piece of the McDreamy action. Is the doctor dead?
2). American Idol. Totally lost interest this season after Chris was out. I was SHOCKED. I didn’t think Katherine deserved to win because quite frankly she thought she deserved to win enough for all of us if you catch my drift.
3) Real World/Road Rules Challenge. I don’t quite get the whole “fresh meat” concept yet but it will be a series recording in my dvr. I totally relate to the 16 year trapped in my 30 something body since I’ve also been known to not miss other MTV shows like Laguna Beach and also watch My Sweet 16 and Tiara Girls on occassion.
4). General Hospital. Daytime counts right?!
5). Sex & the City - reruns even, on regular cable even. I must say they are very well edited. You don’t miss a whole lot from the real thing.
6). Lost. I’m always a week or two late though and I haven’t see the finale yet since it’s on opposite American Idol.
7). ER. I haven’t watched it faithfully for a year or so now but turned in for the last (3) epidoes this year and I’ll be glued to the tube come fall. Will someone please check sutures like Sam said over and over and find Luca in there so he can save Abby and the baby.
8). Dog the Bounty Hunter. I don’t know why I got hooked but I did. It’s very eerily similar to Family Bonds from HBO. Are Beth’s boobs natural? How could they be? If not, why would you choose boobs that big? Don’t they hurt? Dog also has something like 11 or 13 kids. That’s a big litter.
9). Law & Order SVU. I used to like all the Law & Orders but SVU is my FAVE. I seem to miss the new epi’s on NBC but can watch them on USA not problem. In fact, most nights I do right after Sex & the City on The WB. Criminal Intent almost pulled me in with the return of detective Mike Logan (Mr. Big from Sex & the City no less) in half the epi’s.
10). Dancing with the Stars. Can’t wait to see who will be on that one next.
umm, ummm, ummm - I’m stumped. I can throw on a few that are pretty equal but can I not live without them???
12). I do watch The Apprentice every season. I also am routing for Sean - love to hear him talk. There was not real stand out bitch this year but I hated that red head. I also didn’t like Allie and what is her name towards the end…URGGG I can’t think of it…I want to say it starts with an R… I really do love the show even if I can’t think of the names now.
13. I guess I’d say Desperate Housewifes. I actually felt sorry for Gaby that Carlos slept with the maid (who gave up playing a doctor on General Hospital to play that part - must have been some perks aka Gaby’s husband) even though she slept with the gardener.
And I think I should give honorable mention to Grey’s Anatomy. Although the only episode I have ever seen of Grey’s Anatomy was this season’s finale. Oh and part of the one where the guy had the bomb in his chest. I thought the doctor who got shot would die and what’s-his-drooper (Izzy guy) would get his heart.
Oh, I love to watch Desperate Houswifes too
I’m excited about the new big brother season. Dr. Will better be in that house.
