The animals are starting to take over at our house. We have our cat, Jasper. He’s been with us since he was a kitten. Lee got him for me for my birthday back in May of 1998.

Then, of course, we have our many fish in four different fish tanks. And we keep adding more. [Fish I mean. We keep adding more fish. But I wouldn't put it past Lee to get another fish tank. Skyler doesn't have one in her room yet. :)]

And now we just added a new family member.

A new kitten we named Pete. Isn’t he adorable?

We really weren’t looking to get a new cat. We have two other kittens coming in the next couple of weeks. Another boy and a girl. We are just waiting for them to ween off their mama.

But Lee had to stop by his friend, Mike’s house to pick something up and they had two kittens who are looking for homes. Lee brought both of them out the car for the kids to see. The girl looked very similar to one of the other kittens we are waiting on. So we decided to take the boy.

Lee said, “We can’t have four cats.” But really what’s the difference between three and four? None really. So we brought Pete home.

What can we say? We’re animal lovers.
