Keaton made it home safely today…barely. Apparently they had some bus problems. The charter bus they took from Colorado to Nebraska broke down. So they had to make a pit stop in Denver to get a new bus. So instead of getting home at 1pm like he was supposed to, they didn’t get back until 5pm.

For the last three days Justis has been going to Tim Dwight’s football camp. It’s been a tough workout for him. In fact last night he came home and went right to bed [completely filthy] at 5:30pm.

Today was the last day of camp. At the end of the day they had a Pro Bowl. It was two teams with a mixture of professional football players and college players and coaches. It was just for fun and pretty entertaining to watch.

Since we went to the Pro Bowl game we weren’t in town to pick Keaton up. So my Aunt Candy picked him up for us. When she got Keaton from church he said he was starving [it was a very long trip home] so Candy and Keaton went McDonalds.

When we got home at 5:30 Keaton wasn’t here and I was a little concerned that something happened. So I called Candy. That’s when I found out they went to McDonalds.

When Keaton got home Candy told me she asked Keaton if he liked being on his own or if he missed the family. He told her he kind of missed us. Then she told me that he woofed down his Big Mac and fries after I called because he wanted to get home to see me.

So he does love me afterall.

We were all hot from sitting on the bleachers at the football game. My computer [The Weather Channel] keeps saying it’s 64 degrees out, but it’s lying. It’s like 80 degrees out. And it feels warmer then that. Whew, are we stinky. Plus with Justis just finishing up three days of intensive football camp he was ready for a little R&R. So right when we got home all of the kids jumped in their swimsuits and climbed in the pool. As soon as Keaton got home he jumped in the water with shorts on. He doesn’t need any stinkin’ swim trunks.

It was good to have my family all back home again. Even if it is short lived. Justis leaves for church camp tomorrow. He’s going to New Jersey. His cell phone better work in NJ.
