Lighting up the night at the balloon glow

Our Independece Day celebrations have begun. Tonight we headed down to the balloon glow. The weather was a little better this year. Not too hot. Not too cold. And there wasn’t very much wind [which is good for the balloons].

There were six balloons this year [compared to only three or four balloons last year]. We recognized a couple of the balloons. The rainbow one was from last year. But still pretty as ever.
The kids really liked the dragon balloon. It was called “Puff Baby.” I assume that is a reference to Puff the Magic Dragon, but I’m not sure the kids even know who Puff the Magic Dragon is. Either way, they thought was cute. And it turned white when it lit up. Very cool.

I didn’t think the balloons glowed as much as they did last year. But it was still a great sight. And we all had a wonderful time.

I’ve never been able to go to one of these- the one in my area is in the fall - but this year I’m going totry. it looks so pretty-
I totally want to see and photograph one of these events! You did great!
