And the battle began
This afternoon we had a water balloon fight. The kids have been patiently waiting for this since Lee bought the balloons on Thursday. We’ve been making them wait because we wanted to wait until Keaton got home from Chicago.
Keaton got home on Friday night, but it was too late by the time he got here. On Saturday, Skyler and I had our manicures and pedicures and then Keaton and I went to see Urinetown at the community theatre.
So finally, today, the wait was over. And the fight was on.

Only it takes FOREVER to fill up these little balloons. That’s the worst part of water balloons. It take two hours to fill then up. And then the fights over in two minutes.
But the kids helped us fill up the balloons. And we “accidentally” popped a few while we were tying them. Plus some were overfilled so I had to spray the kids with the excess. By the time we got to the fight we were soaking wet.
There were no winners or losers in today’s fight. Just a bunch of kids soaked with pieces of latex hanging from their clothes. We still have 1,250 balloons left so I’m sure there will be more fights to come.
