Thursday Thirteen #14: Things I Like About Myself

Denise challenged us to come up with 13 things we like about ourselves. Her challenge read:
I would like to challenge all Thirteeners to come up with 13 things they like about themselves.
I feel like we, as women, spend so much time scrutinizing ourselves that we sometimes forget the good stuff.
This was really quite difficult. It’s hard for women [at least me] to focus on the good stuff. It’s much, much easier to come up with the things I don’t like about my body or my personality. I had a lot of “I like this about myself except…” So I had to scratch all of those out. In any event, here’s my list.
1. I like that I’m independent. I don’t need to rely on any man to take care of me.
2. But I also like the fact that I’m not sooo independent I won’t let a man in my life. I love to take care of my husband, but I love it even more when he takes care of me. 
3. I like that I’m intelligent.
4. I like my sarcastic sense of humor.
5. I like that I’m creative.
6. I like that I’m a loving mother.
7. I like that I’m a determined student.
8. I like that I set goals and don’t stop until I reach them.
9. I like that I’m extremely faithful.
10. I like that I’m a loyal friend.
11. I like that I’m honest [almost to a fault ;)]
12. I like that I usually stick up for myself [even when I'm scared to death].
13. I like my rose tattoo around my ankle. It was a gift from my husband many, many years ago.

I think being independent is one of the most important things for women! Great list!
I had a hard time with this challenge too, but it is fun reading everyone else’s list.
I agree with #8, that’s how I am too! Helps me get things done faster by setting goals.!
