The things I do for my six seven-year-olds

I might have to take a little nap during my lunch break today [if I can work it around all the calls scheduled today]. Why am I so tired? Well I didn’t go to bed until almost 4am. And why was I up so late? Because I was making these.

Candy bars

I got a wild hair up my butt to make candy bar wrappers for Skyler & Spencer’s birthdays. I wanted them to be able to take them to school today to share with their classmates. Of course, I should of started them before 11pm on the night before their birthday. But, you know, I’ve never been one to plan ahead.

This is also another example of where having them in the same class would be helpful. If they were in the same class I could have made one design for both of them and I would have only needed around 25 candy bars. But no…I put them in separate classes which meant two designs, almost 60 candy bars and no sleep.

But they turned out great.

For Skyler we went with the ballerina/princess theme.

And for Spencer we went with the sports [specifically soccer] theme.

Spencer's candy bar

Of course, when I went to bed at almost 4am, Skyler & Spencer were sleeping so I couldn’t show them the candy bars. I put them in a sack and dropped them in their school bags. They will see them when they get to school. I can’t wait to hear how their day went.

  1. WOW, WOW, WOW. That is amazing. You are very creative. I think these are fantastic and you shouldreally start a business selling these online. I would be a customer in a second. I really mean it. This is fantastic. There is a lot of crap out there that sells so why not have something that is brilliant. Christine, you rock! as a mom. Regardless of the previous post.
