Should I bring him roses?
Hey, remember those dentist appointments I scheduled a while back? Well if you do, I really wish you would have reminded me because today was the kids’ appointments. And guess who forgot? Lee.
Ok, so he didn’t really forget as much as I…um…never told him.
Their appointment was at 1:30. At 1:45 the nurse called and asked Lee where they were. I wasn’t home, but I imagine the conversation went something like this….
Nurse: Hi! I’m calling about Caleb, Spencer, Skyler & Keaton’s dentist appointments.
Lee: Ok.
Nurse: They were supposed to be here 15 minutes ago.
Lee: Silently cursing my name as his face got red, We’ll be there as soon as we can.
Yeah, I can’t tell you how thrilled Lee was that I forgot to tell him the kids had dentist appointments. And I can’t tell you how excited he was to sit in the waiting room at the dentist office for THREE HOURS so they could fit the kids in between patients, since they were more than a half an hour late to their own appointment. I’m sure at one point he was considering divorce attorneys.
I guess I’ll have to keep this in mind next time I want to yell at him for yanking his shirt off the hanger. When he does that the hanger goes flying up and stays that way. I prefer to have all the hangers lined up in a nice little row. Not flung all over the closet rod. You know, my OCD. But let’s see….straight hanger, three hours at the dentist office. It’s a toss up.

My first thought is “No wire hangers” Remember Mommy Diearest? My second thought is, I think you have diagnosed my own OCD. I always tell my wife I want the white hangers and she can have the colored ones. Does this also make me a racist?

OCD? No, you’re perfectly sane, just have high standard that’s all.
Best wishes
