Just when I thought I was getting out of watching the Super Bowl
We have been without CBS for the last month. Our cable company and our local affiliate could not come to an agreement on rates and on January 6th the cable company had to stop broadcasting CBS.
I didn’t even think about that when I was bitching about my instructor requiring us to watch the Super Bowl for the commercials. What a great excuse! I can’t watch the Super Bowl because I don’t get CBS.
But the cable company and the local affiliate came to an agreement on Friday and CBS returned yesterday. It’s really kind of a bummer because in its place we were getting Starz, a channel we don’t normally get because we just have basic cable. All day yesterday all CBS had on was basketball. I was really wishing for a Starz movie right about then.
You know what I learned during this month of no CBS programming? I learned that I watch virtually nothing on CBS. Sure I like CSI and Without a Trace, but they are on opposite something else I watch so I never watch them anyway. I didn’t miss CBS at all.
However, I am glad we have it back because the new season of Amazing Race starts in two weeks. Plus Survivor is on CBS. Oh, and Big Brother. If we didn’t have CBS by the time Big Brother started I would of broken down and got DirecTV [which I hate] because that’s how dedicated I am to Big Brother.
And now I can watch the Super Bowl. Whoopie. [Can you hear my sarcasm?]

I was gonna say…you NEED CBS!!!
Being from Indiana, I can’t imagine anyone not wanting to watch the Super Bowl! Ok, I’ll admit, I don’t watch the Colts until playoff time. But this years Super Bowl was amazing! If for no other reason, Tony Dungy being the awesome, respectable man he is made it worthwhile
My favorite commercials were BlockBuster (the mouse) and Budweiser (rock, paper, scissors)
I can’t wait for Amazing Race All Stars. But I just found out the Hippies won’t be racing this time around. They were the best entertainment on that show. do you remember them?
