Things that are getting on my nerves today

I spent the majority of yesterday sleeping on the couch while the kids ran rampant through the house. Ok, don’t get your panties in a wad. After I just posted about a mother who left my kid home alone ALL. NIGHT. LONG. do you really think I would leave my kids unsupervised while I took a nap for five hours? Lee was home so it’s not like they were hanging each other’s underwear from light poles and cooking bugs on the stove. I’m just saying, I was pretty unproductive.

That brings me to the first thing that’s ticking me off; my nose. I still don’t know if I’m leaking brain fluid. I had an appointment scheduled with my ENT last month, but then we had a big snow storm so I had to rescheduled. And they couldn’t get me in until later this month [more than a month later] because they suck and can’t schedule appointments in a timely fashion. In the meantime I go back and forth between having a sinus infection and being able to breath. Some days I can breath in the moring and by the afternoon my sinuses are so full my head wants to explode. Other days I’m stuffed up all day. I’m sick and tired of it. Just cut my nose off. I don’t need it anyway.

Then last night on The Amazing Race All Stars Rob said, “I could care less about the other teams.” I can’t stand it when people say that. What Rob meant to say was “I could’NT care less” meaning there is nothing else he could care less about. Get it right next time. Or better yet, just stop speaking all together. You’re fifteen minutes of fame are over.

And, finally, I went to the restroom in the office earlier. And this woman was in there too. [I know, exciting story so far, huh?] I came out of my stall first. As I was standing there scrubbing my hands, she exits her stall, walks over to a nearby sink, turns on the water, runs one hand through the water quickly and then turns of the water. All of that took about 5 seconds. In the time it took her to “wash her hands” I had time to take a breath. You’ve got to be kidding me. And people wonder why I obsessively wash my hands in public restrooms and refuse to touch the handles on doors. Why did she even turn the water on? What was the point of running one hand through water for 2 seconds? That hand was no cleaner then it was five seconds earlier. Thankfully I don’t work directly with that woman. I will never, ever let her touch me.

So, I’m grumpy today. Could you guess?

Sorry to see you had a bad day. What’s that saying… When it rains it pours?
By the way… 5 children? You are a saint.
