Way too smart for his own good
Caleb came over to us holding a pair of decorative scissors; the kind you use for scrapbooking that cut wavy lines in the paper. He said something about cutting something. It was kind of mumbled.
I said, “What?”
He repeated himself. Something about cutting Bandit [our cat]; the white part.
Bandit has some white fur on him so I said, “You cut Bandit’s fur?”
Lee said, “No, he cut his whiskers.”
Oh No!
Sure enough we look over at Bandit and he still had his long whiskers on one side of his face, but virtually no whiskers on the other side.
I said, “You can’t cut the kitty’s whiskers. They need those so they can move around.”
Caleb said, “But they were too long. Dad cuts our hair when it’s too long.”
How can you argue with that logic?

There it is, that boy logic again.
I love the simplicity of a child’s logic. It often defeats my own, I can tell you, especially when trying to justify things to younger siblings.
The poor kitty.
I hope they grow back quickly.
Lol! I used to do that to one of my doggies. He was a mix of at least 4 breeds, so he ended up being as tall as a Dachshund and as hairy as a Shitzu. A weird dog, but nice and cute once you’ve got the hair trimmed.
that’s hilarious - you should take a pic!
