Sharpening my pencil (or umm…keyboard) for NaBloPoMo
Well Halloween is over, we’ve left October behind and now it’s November 1st. You know what that means, right? No I’m not talking about All Saints Day. I’m talking about all the National whatever month things going on.
There’s NaNoWriMo where you are supposed to write an entire novel in one month.
There’s some kind of shoe posting event where you post photos of your shoes for the month. I’ll spare you all from that. Thirty days of looking at my dirty Nike’s won’t win me any new readers.
And then there’s NaBloPoMo; National Blog Posting Month. I signed up again this year. I’m not sure why since I’ve been struggling to motivate myself to blog in the last few weeks. But maybe being forced to blog will get me out of my writer’s block. Or maybe I’ll just post more photos of my socks. I did get a bunch of new glove socks for Christmas last year.
This year there was a suggestion to pick a theme to blog about, but I’m so pathetic I couldn’t even think of a theme. So my plan is to just read the news and hopefully get inspired. Cause, you know, I have opinions and I’m not afraid to share them.
Plus there’s the obligatory anniversay post. This is a big year for us. Lee and I will be celebrating ten years of wedded bliss. Maybe I’ll hunt down even more wedding pics. And I got a new scanner so maybe the quality will be better this year.
And, of course, Thanksgiving. I could spend quite a few posts talking about everything I’m thankful for. Plus Thanksgiving crafts. And pumpkin pie. Yum. Pumpkin pie. With Cool Whip on top.
Ok, I got off track. I’m easily distracted.
What else can I write about this month? I’m open for suggestions.
Why is there no NaNaADMo…National Nap All Day Month? Now there’s something I could really get behind.

I’m participating in NaNoWriMo for the fifth year. I don’t need need help blogging, I do that every day as it is on one of my three blogs, sometimes on all three on the same day! I blog easily. Novel-writing, on the other hand, takes some work, and NaNoWriMo forces you down the road, so it works well for me.
I think the key to surviving NaBloPoMo is going to be finding post inspiration from each other. I hope I don’t end up posting a picture of my socks… but I certainly think it could be a possibility!!
Good luck… oh, and if they come up with NaNaADMo please do okeep us all posted! I’m sure a lot of us moms would sign up for that!
