Wii are having so much fun
My mom got us a Wii for Christmas. We got it on Christmas Eve. So when we got home from Grandma’s house, we put the kids to bed and I unpacked the Wii. You know, because we needed something to keep up busy while we waited for the kids to fall asleep so we could play Santa and bring out the rest of the gifts and fill the stockings. Never mind the fact that the kids were out as soon as their heads hit the pillow. We needed a good hour of Wii playing time to make sure they were sleeping soundly.
Plus we needed to test out all the games. We can’t let the kids play a game we haven’t seen. What if there was violence or sex or something. Umm….the games are all rated family, but still…you never know. We want to be good parents and all.
So we got it all set up. We connected to our wireless network. We checked the local forecast. We skimmed the news. And I played a little Zelda. (If you know me at all you know I’m a Zelda fanatic.)
Yesterday we let the kids play a little too. We battled in tennis, baseball, bowling, golf and boxing. My shoulder is a little sore today from all of those sports. I’ve never played so many sports in my life. My elementary P.E. teacher would be so proud. Maybe I can get him to raise my grade from a C to a B.
I’ve decided I no longer need to run on the treadmill. Now I’ll just put in the Sports game and battle the Wii in a few boxing matches. That should work up enough sweat to burn at least a few hundred calories.
Whoever said video games make you fat didn’t have a Wii.
So if you’re wondering why I’m not blogging, it’s because Wii are too busy working out.

We got our Wii a few months ago, and it IS a great workout!
My kids have reached “pro” status on all the sports, and we just bought the Cabela’s Big Game Hunter recently. We love our Wii!
I became addicted to creating celebrity Mii’s.
My best work is colonel Sanders, Kenny Rogers, and Fabio.
Not so fast there, chickie…the Wii is no sub for exercise!!
