These are stepping stones my kids made at Sunday School two weeks ago. They each planted their foot in to their stone while a helper stamped “walk with Jesus” around their foot. Then the kids got to decorate their stones.
When I was young I was forced to go to church every Sunday, both Sunday School and church service. I also went to youth group every Wednesday night. As I got older, other priorities crept in to my life. Things like going out drinking with my friends and partying and all those things teenagers do when they leave home for the first time.
A few years ago I decided to go back to church and have the kids go to Sunday School. We are going to the same church I was baptized in, confirmed at and where we renewed our vows. It feels good to be back. After the kids had been in Sunday School for a year, the Children’s Director asked me if I would be a Shepard. I agreed and now I’m going on three years as a Shepard.

I did the same thing. I grew up in church but got away from it. Since I’ve had kids, it’s been a priority. You’ll find life is much easier to manage because of it!

Those stepping stones are precious. We are getting ready to go back to church too. All this talk since I became a God Mother. I think the boys need it.
