My love list
I decided to take the love list challenge. I love a good challenge. The rules are you can’t include a single person you know on your list. No “I love the way my husband laughs” or “I love hearing my little girl call for me.” It’ll be tough, I know. But this particular little exercise is about stripping away everyone who defines you and figuring out what you (not his partner; not their mother/daughter/sister/friend) love. So here it goes…
I love long, super hot showers. I love sleeping in the bathtub until the water gets cold. I love turning the radio up really loud and singing along (badly). I love toe socks. I love complete silence. I love sleep. And I love sleeping in late. I love Lays potato chips, especially cheddar flavor. I love Sour Patch Kids. I love chick flicks that make me cry. I love crawling in to bed on cold sheets. I love digging my toes in to our new carpet. I love looking fondly on a fresh, clean room (probably because it’s so rare at my house). I love running my fingers through my hair. I love the History channel. I love curling up on the couch with my burgundy fleece blanket. I love sappy commercials. I love laughing at funny commercials even when I’ve already seen them fifty times. I love watching St. Elmo’s Fire. I love swinging really high on the swings at the park. I love reading. I love writing. I love drawing. I love taking pictures. I love pop culture. I love learning. I love reading pointless facts about U.S. presidents like who was the first to wear long trousers (Madison). I love reading classics. I love F. Scott Fitzgerald. I love Charles Dickens. I love, love, love Marilyn Monroe. I love Andy Warhol. I love reading Martin Luther King Jr. speeches. I love watching old movies. I love cucumbers. I love grapes. I love vanilla ice cream. I love jeans that fit just right (really long and not too tight). I love big, oversized sweatshirts. I love laughing out loud. I love art galleries. I love the calming sound of the fish tank. I love dancing to the Hannah Montana CD. I love the fact that I can smell things again. I love Girl’s Night Out. I love chef salads. I love French dressing. I love the feeling I have after I exercise. I love climbing trees. I love playing Guitar Hero. I love blogging. I love sharing my opinion. I love the warm sun on my face. I love the theatre. I love traveling. I love long conversations with friends. I love watching home improvement shows. I love a glass of white wine with dinner. I love naps.
There’s more, but I think we’ll stop there. What’s on your love list?

What a great list. Thanks for sharing, and for urging me to do the same. I think it’s a long over-due list to make.
I love this idea! I’ve done my own list on my blog.
