Everything I need to know I learned from the History channel

I’m sitting here watching the History channel, like I do quite often (because I’m obsessed) and I’m learning tons about how Wonder makes their bread.

Did you know there are 22 slices in every package of Wonder Bread?

And you can tell what day the bread was made by the twist tie on the end. If it’s blue it was made on Monday. If it’s green it was made on Tuesday. A red tie means it was made on Thursday. A white one is used on Friday. And a yellow one is used on Saturday. (They must not make bread on Wednesday and Sunday).

I was so excited about this little tidbit, I rewound the TV (thank you TiVo) so Lee could see it. He just gave me this “you are truly a crazy lady” look and went back to his laptop, muttering something like, “why do you care?”

Men!

  1. At least you weren’t calling your husband over to watch a tape of Oprah where here Doctor guy was talking about “male parts” like my wife.

Although, I must admit, I never knew we could actually break our “male part.”

  2. Don’t feel bad… I LOVE those useless little tidbits of info. However, I never retain them. For example, I already knew about the color codes ties but had forgotten I knew it!! Thanks for reminding me.

  4. Well, this information is absolutely USEFUL to me …

Really. I am a wacko when it comes to bread and I will only use Wonder Bread. Now, I know what day it was baked. That is information I know I’ll use.

And I didn’t it know it until you watched the History Channel and told me.

    Thanks!

  5. Next time he goes to the store, instruct him to buy bread made on the specific day of the week (the day before you send him to the store)… if he brings the wrong colour tag home, then give him sh*t for not listening :-)
