Sunday Monday Linky Love
These week’s edition of Sunday Linky Love was postponed until Monday due to inclement weather in Chicago. I left my family behind on Mother’s Day to spend hours upon hours at the airport. The majority of those hours were spent standing in a very long line waiting for a United Airlines ticket agent to help me. I curse United, but there will be a whole post on that later in the week. Along with all the juicy details about my trip. But that’s for another day when I’m not so tired I want to go to bed at 8pm.
But before we begin let’s give a big shout out to my big boy, a.k.a. my baby, a.k.a. Caleb. My baby is six-years-old today. I still can’t believe he’s six already. I, of course, will have a big post with pictures of all his birthday goodies, but you’ll have to wait until tomorrow. I’m sure you will be on pins and needles.
And now for some linky love.
A Kansas-based beef farm is in trouble with the government for testing too many cows for Mad Cow disease.
Ever noticed how the media likes to put moms in to pretty little categories with a big bow on top? Well apparently NBC is classifying adoptive mom’s as “non-moms.” As expected, moms aren’t too thrilled with this title.
Lumpyhead learned a new word. My mom has a great story about the first time I used that word too. She blames my great-grandmother.
What time do your kids go to bed? Mine are in bed by 8pm on school nights. Partly because they need their rest, but mostly because, like Jennifer, I need my sanity…or I mean, mommy time.
I didn’t even know there was a World Asthma Day. I think on World Asthma Day they should send us all coupons for a couple of months of free Advair. Now that’s something I could get behind.
I’m totally going to start shopping with Jenn. It might be quite a long drive for me, but at least it would be entertaining. Unless, of course, she really does pee in aisle 4.
Jen really does deserve an award. I totally would have ran that bitch at Target down with my cart.
And speaking of nasty people, ShannonB is dealing with her first nasty commenter. Aren’t they fun?
On that same topic, Scribbit gives advice on how to deal with nasty comments. She even included flow charts. Now that’s a woman after my own heart.
Apparently Chris is now a cable installer. It came as quite a shock to even him.
I’m a little scared of a small 5′1 woman. Mental note: Don’t piss of Sunshine. I’m glad it all worked out without and blood shed.
Backpacking Dad tells us why he doesn’t mind being called “Mr. Mom.” I’m going to start calling my husband “trophy husband.”
Dawn explains why she password protects photos of her kids.
A teacher in our community was just fired for partying in her off time. Should teachers lose their job for something they did when they are out with friends?
Blissfully Domestic has compiled a list of great websites to help teach children about money.
I am so getting one of these “wicked cool stepmother” t-shirts.
Looking for something to keep your kids busy this summer? Konstructionzone.com has you covered.
When did tripods become a matter of national security?
I thought revenge was supposed to be sweet?

Auh, thanks for the link. People can be stinky. I’ve just decided to not let her bother me. I have more than enough great friends on the blogosphere.

I particularly love this weekly offering of lots of good stuff to check out. Thanks for taking the time to share with us.
Oooh! Thanks for the link…that was a surprisingly controversial post!
Off to check out some of the others!
Jennifer’s last blog post..By: supergirl!
Don’t be scared, I’m loving you for the linkage!
I do this occasionally, but with a fraction of the links, you are a much more diligent girl than me!
