My baby is so good to me

Caleb had a field trip today. First we went to a park and then finished the day at the children’s museum. So there was a lot of walking. After my spill yesterday I’m feeling very, very stiff today. My left thumb is really bothering me too. I think I must have jammed it. [Not that my jammed thumb has anything to do with this post. I just wanted to mention it for a little more sympathy.]

The park we went to is very large and there were three playgrounds near each other. Caleb, his classmate Hunter, and I walked to each playground. A few times. At one point Hunter ran ahead to the playground. Caleb said, “Mom, let’s run.”

I said, “I can’t run today honey. My legs are sore.”

He looked up at me with his big brown eyes and said, “That’s ok mama. I’ll walk with you.”

He’s so darn cute.

I just got teary-eyed and choked up over this WAY beyond what even I should…and then I remembered that I did not replace my hormone patches on Wednesday like I was supposed to. ;-)

But seriously, based on meeting your oldest, I’m not at all surprised to learn that the sweetness runs throughout the family.

    Awww!
Nothing like me when I was little.
Mom and I went on a walk and she fell into the ice covered ditch and was stuck chest high. I told her, “Don’t worry Mom. If you die, I’ll throw you a flower.” Then I proceeded to walk home.
