Take this homework and shove it
Besides my photography class, I am also taking Introduction to Mass Media Industry this term. It is a class about, um, the mass media industry. Specifically we are learning about the laws that apply to mass media, the ethics in mass media, and the history of mass media. Therefore we have a law textbook, an ethics textbook and a history book. So that’s three chapters a week we need to read each week. That’s a lot of reading for one week. And don’t even get me started on the almost weekly two-page essay we need to write on a case study in that week’s ethics chapter. Or the long research paper and presentation that was due last week.
Needless to say, there is a lot of flippin’ homework in this class. And, although I find the class interesting, I’m none to pleased about all the damn homework.
As you know, I’ve been struggling to breath with the weather being all let’s-be-warm-enough-for-shorts-today-and-then-drop-snow-on-’em-tomorrow making my asthma act like a spoiled three-year-old child not getting its way. I’ve had so many steroid shots and prednisone pills forced in to my body I’m on the verge of ripping somebody’s arm off and beating them to a bloody stump with it. This has made it very difficult for me to keep my cool and not tell my teacher to shove his two-page essay where the sun don’t shine.
Then today I went out the class website to download this week’s law study guide. And just like the last two weeks the study guide is not on the site yet. The last two weeks he has not posted it until after the weekend. I don’t have time to work on it during the week because I have work and Skyler has dance and gymnastics and Justis has driver’s ed and Caleb has wrestling and I have school and…well you get the point. I’m busy.
I want to do my homework on Saturdays. The kids don’t have any activities on Saturdays. Heck I don’t even shower some Saturdays. It’s a perfect day for homework. But alas, I can’t do it because my teacher won’t post the fucking study guide.
The last two weeks I have been up until 2am on Wednesday night finish the stupid study guide so I would be prepared for the test on Thursday. (Did I mention we also have a test every Thursday?) I am not a girl who enjoys being up until 2am. I am a girl who enjoys a bedtime around midnight and getting a good 8 to 9 hours of sleep. I am a girl who gets really cranky when I have to stay up until 2am to do homework especially when I’m not even the one who procrastinated.
Wait, let me check again.
Nope, still no study guide. Urgh. Is it really too much to ask that the study guide be posted prior to the weekend?

You should ask the instructor if he can post the work before the weekend. I’m sure you’re not the only one struggling with this. He’s giving you less than a week to complete work that is, arguably. a week-long homework assignment. That seems unfair.
